Yoav Shapira: Daily pic project, worth doing?

I recent stumbled upon this 2006 blog post, "How to be interesting," via news.ycombinator.  It's an interesting post with good ideas, many of which I do already.  But one that seems appealing is posting a daily picture to Flickr (or your photo site of choice.)

I think I'll give it a shot.  Have you ever tried this daily pic idea, or something like it?  If so, how did it go?
