I'm drowning in paper. I'm very definitely in the market for a portable document scanner. (Portable, as in doesn't have to reside permanently on a desk, but not hand-held either. Stick it in a drawer when not in use.)
My ideal solution would work with both Linux and Windows, at least 3PPM, store locally to a removable flash card in JPG, TIFF, or PDF, preferably able to handle multiple stacked input sheets (nice-to-have, not required) and get power from batteries/USB/wall transformer. It would also be TWAIN-compatible for dumping directly to a computer, but could scan without being hooked up.
Oh, and it wouldn't cost thousands of dollars.
Anyone have any suggestions?
