TEDxSummit—the event I’m here for in Doha—is being held in Katara, Qatar’s new cultural hub. To get there from central Doha, you travel by car north along Al Istiqlala street. Along the way, you see what you’ll see everywhere in Doha: construction. Lots of construction. I’ve been told that Dubai has a third of the cranes in the world, and that many of them are migrating north to Doha. Billion dollar project sites are everywhere. It’s really increadible to see.
