Santorini, also known as Thera, is an archipelago of islands around the remains of a volcanic caldera in the southern Aegean Sea. It’s the site of the Minoan eruption—one of the largest volcanic events in ancient recorded history and might be the source of the legend of Atlantis. These days, it’s a place to escape the rest of the world and, when the mood strikes, spend a day out on the water.
Next time I go, however, I’ll be sure to take a housing for my camera.
