I love the way that Lipson takes the time to discuss the details of the perspective handling, and shows the work-in-progress so you can think about how it all takes shape.
The Escher site has some very nice "virtual rides" through the art, which also helps to understand it, although loading the movies is very slow, so be patient.
Ascending and Descending was my favorite work of art for years when I was younger, but pretty much anything that Maurits Cornelis did was first-rate, so enjoy!![]()
