I'm rebooting a VM as outlook is -as is often the case- not responding. Whoever wrote it had some assumptions about locking or synchronisation which just don't hold up now that you can sync your email in a VM to a server on the other side of the world via HTTPS
Which is fine, we developers have limited imagination. What does irritate me, though, is the bit in the bottom corner that says "this folder is up to date". Because that is rarely the case, and if I look at the contents and see that the last email is from three days before, it's clear to me. Yet for some reason the application authors assume that the folder is up to date unless the server says otherwise, if and you haven't connected for three days then you are not yet out of date
It would have been better to have a "folder last updated on Sept 21. 2010. Useful, and correct
